Bernal battling for the wingless sprint car championship at Ocean Speedway with Dave Press a 41 year old veteran of Foster City, CA. Bernal trailing Press by 12 points going into the last race of the season, Bernal needed a perfect night to take the Championship and a perfect night is what Bernal gave the fans at Ocean Speedway.
